I have just returned from a Missionary trip in Panama City, Panama. It was a reminder for me of what being a Missionary is all about. You enter a foreign land with a different culture and way of living, not knowing anyone and sometimes not even the language! You leave all that is familiar behind, along with family, friends and your possessions (car, pets, furniture etc).
Well I just Celebrated my 51st Birthday in the Lord and cannot imagine life without Him! Through all my ups and downs Jesus has been there to see me through!
I would like to speak from the heart today and open up with the story of David when He was chosen to be King.
Throughout the Bible we can read story after story about the Faithfulness of God. We see how God takes a situation and uses it for His purpose!
I recently shared in a message about 2 Pastors that sat next to me on different flights to Hawaii and how we exchanged testimonies and talked about the Lord! I also shared about how God had quickened me about the urgency of the times and asked God to help me speak to others more! After that prayer many opportunities came my way and I was able to do just that, “Speak Jesus!”
Since the early days of my Salvation, I could remember Christians quoting Psalm 37:25. They would share stories about the faithfulness of God and how He saw them through their difficult times. The testimonies were about the miraculous way that God would stretch their food or how they found groceries on their doorstep, even people giving them money not knowing they were in need….
With the same sentiment that David sang this song of praise to God, I sing my song of praise!
