Lifeline

Every month as I sit down to write my blog I think about the things that go on in my life and ask myself what I should share with you. One of the thoughts that I have been pondering on is how Jesus has truly been my lifeline, I could not have done life without Him! Throughout all the years that I have been serving Him I’ve come to realize that He is and will always be my lifeline.  I have learned that I must stay connected to Him if I want to have a fruitful life. The decisions I make and the direction I take must come from a time of prayer and seeking Him.

John clearly states this in John 15:5 TPT

“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.

My life is blessed because of Him and it doesn’t hinge on whether things are good or bad; going my way or not, it simply is!

Acts 17:28 says, For in him we live, and move, and have our being.  We exist because of Him!

God must be our main source; If we look anywhere else to get our needs met we will come up empty!  Yet why do so many still choose to do exactly that, or even look to God as a last resort? We want to look to other places to get our needs met and yet He tells us that without Him we  are powerless!

1Peter 5:7 TPT

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

God is and always will be a true source and lifeline for those who will accept it. Where do you find yourself today?  Are you still trying to do it alone? Looking to others?  My question to you is, when all has been said and done, will what remains be worth it?

November is a time for Thankfulness, a time for Gathering, a time of Reflection. Let us remember to stay connected to the One true vine-our Lifeline.  God Bless You!
