Taking a look back

We are quickly coming to the close of 2021 so I thought I’d reflect back on all my blogs and see what God was saying this past year.

JANUARY   “Out With The Old-In With The New”

I am in control of the seasons. So, no matter what we may go through He is there!

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”  Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT

FEBRUARY   “Love”

Everyone wants to be loved, but the love we are looking for can only be found in the One who is Love and that’s our Heavenly Father.

“O Lord, our God, no one can compare with you. Such wonderful works and miracles are all found with you!  And you think of us all the time with your countless expressions of love—far exceeding our expectations!”  Psalm 40:5 TPT

MARCH   “Speak My Word”

When we speak God’s Word into our situation we find that God can change things!

“What you say can mean life or death. Those who speak with care will be rewarded.” Proverbs 18:21 NCV

APRIL   “Friendship”

Finding the true value of “Friendship” in those that God brings into our life.

“Some friendships do not last, but some friends are more loyal than brothers.” Proverbs 18:24 GNT

MAY   “Sweet Fragrance Of Our Life”

Our life speaks volumes to others as they watch us and draw strength from what they see in us.

“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men.”  2 Corinthians 3:2 NKJV

JUNE   “God’s Will Or Mine”

God is always in the business of building something more in our lives, whether it’s character, faith, obedience, submission or trust; and just like Jesus submitted to the will of the Father even though He struggled and travailed, we too can choose to submit to the Father's will.

“He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”    Matthew 26:38-39 NKJV

JULY    “Intimacy With God”

There is a deeper level of maturity and compassion developed us when we are tested, which should draw us closer to God and as a result make us stronger.

“You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence!  You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.”  Psalm 139:3-6 TPT

AUGUST - SEPTEMBER    “Strong & Courageous”

The Grace of God becomes real in those times when you hear the news that you aren’t ready for and find that you have no Spiritual or Physical strength to fight.  This is when God will remind us to just rest in Him!

“…… for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.”   2 Corinthians 12:10b

OCTOBER   “Pray Without Ceasing”

What is prayer?  Some think it’s a posture we must take in order to communicate with God.  But actually it’s an attitude, a true conveying of our heart to the Father through conversation, words expressed in our heart or mind, or even a song or whisper cried!

“Let joy be your continual feast.  Make your life a prayer.  And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 TPT

NOVEMBER   “Lifeline”

Jesus is our “Lifeline” and if we want to have a fruitful life we must stay connected to Him.  We can’t think that we can accomplish anything good without Him. The decisions we make and the direction we take must come from a time of prayer and seeking Him.

“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.”  John 15:5 TPT

DECEMBER   “A Hope And A Future”

In Christ there is always an endless supply of whatever it is that we need.  Let’s make it a point to continue on our journey believing and having full assurance in the One who not only saved us but who is also able to keep us!  We really do have a hope and a future!

“I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.”  Jeremiah 29:11 CEB
