The Day After Easter

We have just finished Celebrating one of the most eventful times in History for us as Christians, the Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He did what no man could ever do for mankind, die and resurrect again to bring to us Salvation and offer us Eternal life with Him.  That is monumental, historic, life-changing!

Luke 19:10 NLT

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”

 2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

So my question is, how are you after the Celebration?

●      Have things returned to normal?

●      Back to the same old routines?

●      Return to work as usual?

We as humans have the tendency to fall into patterns and can even live from event to event. The highs and lows of life become just that, one day we are up and the next day we can be down. Nothing new under the sun.

Galatians 5:16 AMP

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

Let us remind ourselves of the bigger picture and where this journey is taking us to;

●       life fulfilled through Christ

●       with a hope and a future.

When you find that life is taking you into that old pattern and it begins to feel mundane, and the same old, same old; remember the famous words that Art would say, “slap yourself and get a life!” (lol)

Sometimes you gotta do what you have to do to snap yourself out of it!

●      Have a good laugh, or even a good cry.

●      Watch a good movie, read a good book.

●      Talk to an encouraging friend.

●      Take a walk.

Find something that will help you to get out of that zone! Life is short, so you might as well enjoy it and live it to the fullest and not allow the enemy to use anything to rob you of your joy! Remember Jesus paid a heavy price for us.

John 10:10  EXB

A thief comes [only] to steal and kill and destroy, but I came to give life [that they might have life]—life in all its· fullness [abundance].

As always I pray that the words I share with you will encourage you, inspire you and even challenge you, as God does me!  Blessings until next time!
