Let freedom ring! It has a nice sound to it, but you and I know that freedom is not really free. Someone has paid a price for it, whether it’s someone who paid it forward in the checkout line, soldiers who paid it on the front lines and most importantly, Jesus who paid it all for us on the cross!
The true appreciation for freedom should be expressed in how we live our daily lives. Do we live carelessly, thinking we are entitled to this freedom? Do we really stop to think that someone gave their hard-earned money to pay for our free item, or that a soldier paid dearly with his/her life so we can live without fear of the enemy at our back door? Most importantly, do we stop to think about the true freedom we experience through a relationship with the One who paid it all—Jesus!

Jesus offers us freedom so we can live a full life in peace and serve Him with our whole heart. True freedom offers us so many benefits that He paid for. Don’t miss out on the fullness He gives, but don’t take it lightly either. He gave His all for you. We should do no less.
