He holds me up

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.  Psalm 37:23-24 NIV

I have found this to be true because it describes how my life has been for the last year and a half with many ups and plenty of downs! You see, although people have asked me “how I am doing?” I must admit that life without Art has been a BIG adjustment!  There have been days of struggle with grieving, loneliness, depression, overwhelming pressures and of course opposition!  Having been married for 55 years and now trying to balance my Personal Life with that of the Church and Ministry can be very challenging!  I must admit I wanted to quit many times!

“I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.”  Psalm 63:8 NIV

God has not only been there but got me through!  I have found that during my hardest times was when God showed me how REAL He is! We can all quote a lot of scripture and know it in our head but when the rubber meets the road, having to actually apply it is the real test!

God has been my firm foundation and continues to remain faithful, loving and true! This month I will be turning 72 years old and have been serving the Lord for 50 years!  There is nothing more rewarding and fulfilling than to live your life totally for God! And just like the words to this old song say, “He brought me from a mighty long way!”

Stand firm and continue to trust in God, no matter what you are going through!  Each test can make you stronger!

For He has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5 NIV
