PSALM 18:6 NLT
But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.
Have you ever found yourself in a place of desperation? I think we all have at one time or another.
But the real question would be:
How did you handle it?
How did you get through it?
Did you reach out for help?
You see, as I look around at what is happening in our world I see a lot of turmoil in people’s lives. People with needs, circumstances and situations that they don’t know how to handle or do anything about. Then I say to myself; “How many of them have called out to God for the solution and help that they so desperately need? Do they know the Savior, Healer, Deliverer?
ISAIAH 59:1 ICB
Surely the Lord’s power is enough to save you. He can hear you when you ask him for help.
This year has caused me to do exactly that, “Cry out in my distress!” I am finding that “Grief” is a long journey and a place in which I find myself feeling lost and alone many times! One day I can feel like an overcomer and then wake up the next day feeling defeated! I’m sure that I am not the only one! Today there is a real need for “transparency” a “safe place” to share your feelings without judgment! Everyone will have their own season when they will need someone to be there for them and it’s important to be able to reach out!
GALATIANS 6:2 NOG
Help carry each other’s burdens. In this way you will follow Christ’s teachings.
It is time that we start to look around and ask the Lord to give us compassion for the one that He places in our path, (maybe even in our own Church) and the courage to not be afraid to reach out. There are hurting people all around us who may need a listening ear, a hug, a word of encouragement, a phone call and a prayer. Be the one who God uses!
1 THESSALONIANS 3:12 CEB
May the Lord cause you to increase and enrich your love for each other and for everyone in the same way as we also love you.
LOVE is a powerful action word, let’s make it a point to reach out to one another in LOVE!
HEBREWS 6:10 ERV
God is fair, and he will remember all the work you have done. He will remember that you showed your love to him by helping his people and that you continue to help them.
Prayers for the one who is suffering silently!
