We love Hawaii so we have Birds of Paradise and Hibiscus flowers planted in Lava rock in our backyard. My Hibiscus plant has grown and bloomed many beautiful red flowers but occasionally it has picked up some little bugs. What once was full of green leaves has dwindled down to a sickly-looking bush!
Our gardener recommended spraying it with Dawn and water mixed together. After following his suggestion my plant recovered to once again bloom beautiful red flowers! This makes me think about our Heavenly Father who knows us so well.
“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head.”
Psalm 139:1-5 TLB
He knows exactly how to take care of us and exactly what we need to bloom again. Whether it be a little pruning or some nurturing words poured on us, He will refresh us and restore us to bloom where we are planted!
