Intimacy with my God

Psalm 139:3-6 TPT

You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.

First of all I am so thankful to have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father where I am like an open book and He knows everything about me.

I think one of the most important things to me is the fact that I can trust Him! That’s a big one for me because there has been so much hurt, betrayal and disappointment in my life that it’s not easy for me to trust.

But as I read this verse, it reassures me that He is with me every step of the way… That He already knows the things I will encounter. He reminds me that His hand is upon my life, leading and guiding me so no matter what life brings my way, I know that I will be okay.

I have found that my hard times cause me to experience God in a different way. There is a deeper level of maturity and compassion developed that I would not have known otherwise. Our faith will be tested, but it should draw us closer to God and as a result, we should come out stronger.

Our Father is a good Father and He knows what is best. Trust Him with your whole heart to guide you every step of the way. Know that you can depend on Him and let Him in every corner of your heart. He is the One that you can truly be “real” with and not have to hold back. He will always be your Healer and Waymaker and will take care of you!

Let’s all continue on our journey ‘til we reach the grand finale!

Revelation 3:11-12 NKJV

Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
