“We ourselves love now because He loved us first.” 1 John 4:19 CJB
God created us with the need to love and be loved and when His love has filled our hearts, we in turn are able to love others.
How many believe that God can bring beauty out of brokenness? I do because I’ve seen it happen in my very own life! When I took this picture I knew there was a message in it! Just like those delicate flowers bloomed in the midst of dry weeds, God brings life and beauty into places we thought were hopeless! Our lives might feel overrun with “weeds”- whether it be struggles, sin or pain but God’s grace will still manage to allow something beautiful to grow out of it!
And yet sometimes our life can become mundane with daily, weekly and monthly routines. It is always good to get away and take a break for a day or two or three! But seriously when you do, it helps you to gain a fresh perspective, rest your mind and body, which are all good.
I have just returned from a Missionary trip in Panama City, Panama. It was a reminder for me of what being a Missionary is all about. You enter a foreign land with a different culture and way of living, not knowing anyone and sometimes not even the language! You leave all that is familiar behind, along with family, friends and your possessions (car, pets, furniture etc).
Well I just Celebrated my 51st Birthday in the Lord and cannot imagine life without Him! Through all my ups and downs Jesus has been there to see me through!
This month we have been experiencing some pretty strong storms that have been hitting us back to back! They have caused much damage; floods, trees falling, fences falling down, roofs collapsing, cars stuck in flood waters, power outages and even deaths! We have been told to prepare and stay in and hunker down, but you know, this could get kind of scary!
