Although Christmas is actually in December, stores start advertising even before Thanksgiving is here!  You start seeing Christmas trees, decorations, toys, ugly sweaters, the latest devices, jewelry and everything else that the world identifies as Christmas, oh yeah and don’t forget Santa Claus!

But one thing the world doesn’t advertise is the deep depression that people feel during the Holidays.  There are many people who suffer due to the loss of a loved one, financial problems, family problems, marital problems, loneliness and the list can go on.

Fortunate are those who have the Lord in their life because Peace, Joy and Happiness can only come from Him in any Season of our life!  He is the one that sees us through all things!

Isn’t this the reason why Jesus was born?  He came to fulfill the purpose of His Father and that was to redeem us back to Himself.  Let us not forget that “Jesus Is The Real Reason For The Season!”  Things like new cars, houses, new devices etc can never fill the void that only He can!  

• “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”  Luke 19:10

• “Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

• “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.  John 14:27

As we gather together this year with family, relatives or friends, let us remember what  James 4:14 says:  “You have no idea what the next day will bring. What is your life? You are a mist which appears for a little while and then disappears again.”  So, enjoy your life and captivate the moments because you cannot regain them!
