Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall

Do you recognize the lyrics to this song? “Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you gotta do is call and I’ll be there, you’ve got a friend.”

There is nothing more reassuring than to know you’ve got a friend. No matter what season you may be going through, you are supported by someone who knows you, loves you and wants the best for you!

That is exactly what we read in the book of Psalms 139:4-5 The Passion Translation.
“You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.

You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me.”

Look at the benefits of having Jesus as your best friend!

  • He is intimately (personally) aware of you.

  • He really knows you.

  • He can read you like an open book.

  • He knows what you’re going to say before you say it.

  • He knows where you are headed.

  • He has gone into your future to prepare the way.

  • He follows close behind you, protecting you.

  • With kindness and love, He imparts blessings.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Do we even realize the extent of involvement that Jesus has in our lives?

Through every mountain top or valley low experience, we need to be reminded that Jesus is a true friend who shares those moments with us!

Romans 12:15 AMP
Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief].

We will experience the highs and lows of life but let us draw strength in the fact that we are not alone on this journey. I myself have gone through many seasons, and still do, but I have found my God faithful to meet me in every one of them. I have come to know Him more intimately, and my life has been genuinely enriched as a result.

Psalm 34:10 TPT
Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.

Be encouraged that just as the seasons come and go, so will the things you may be experiencing right now. If you are in a happy season — enjoy it!  If you are in a dry season, then draw from the well of benefits you have access to in knowing you've got a friend!
