Love

When we think of the month of February, we immediately think of Love or Valentine’s Day, right? We see red hearts in the stores that encourage the celebration.

So I thought it would be fitting to talk about love this month, but the kind of love I want to talk about goes deeper than the mere giving and receiving of flowers, candy, cards, or jewelry.

 Psalm 40:5 TPT
O Lord, our God, no one can compare with you. Such wonderful works and miracles are all found with you!  And you think of us all the time with your countless expressions of love—far exceeding our expectations!

When I first experienced this kind of love, a love that came straight from my Heavenly Father, I was taken by surprise! First of all, to realize that I could have a relationship with my Heavenly Father when I barely knew my earthly father. This all took a bit of getting used to. I struggled for a while, but He was gentle, patient, loving, and accepting.

Even though He knew all about me, everything I had thought, everything I had done—He loved me!

The changes that began to take place in me were life altering; truly a miracle unfolding right before my eyes. It didn’t matter anymore if anyone cared or understood because I was experiencing a love that was real. Oh, and there was so much more to come, but it didn’t hinge on my receiving chocolates, cards or jewelry. God has been so good to me!

Every human being desires to be loved and accepted, but what they don’t realize is that kind of love can only be found in a relationship with their Heavenly Father.

He is someone who always thinks of you and ways to express His love for you. The miracle that unfolds in the process will far exceed anyone's expectations. Sometimes this is hard to grasp, but it’s real and I am living proof.

So know that you are thought about not only in the month of February, but each and every day. His countless expressions of love, acceptance and miracles will far outweigh any kind of love that we will ever experience here on earth!

Be blessed and know you are loved!
