Daily Walk
There are many lessons in life we can learn in our daily walk with the Lord and today I’d like to share one with you. I was taking my morning walk and saw cracks in the cement which had some blades of grass peeking through. As I continued walking, I began to look around at all the beautiful flowers that were planted in people’s gardens. As I began to give this some thought, God showed me the revelation!
Matthew 6:25-33 ERV
So, I tell you, don’t worry about the things you need to live—what you will eat, drink, or wear. Life is more important than food, and the body is more important than what you put on it. Look at the birds. They don’t plant, harvest, or save food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Don’t you know you are worth much more than they are? You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it. And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers. If God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, what do you think he will do for you? It’s just grass- one day it’s alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely, he will do much more for you. Your faith is so small! Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear? That’s what those people who don’t know God are always thinking about. Don’t worry because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. What you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what he wants you to do. Then he will give you all these other things you need.
In our everyday life we can get caught up in “Me.”
● What I want!
● What I need!
God is clearly pointing out to us, “Oh your faith is little because you are being like the unsaved who don’t know God.”
● Don’t worry about the things you need to live.
● Life is more important than what you will eat, drink or wear.
● You are worth more!
He is asking us to focus on the things:
● That pertain to God’s will.
● Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind
● Love your neighbor as yourself.
Basically, He is reminding us, “I’ve got you!
● Trust Me!
● Cast your cares upon me!
● Have faith in Me!
When we take this approach, we will not only be at peace, but we will see God faithfully come through for us according to His will and according to His timing! Whatever it is that God is trying to do in your life, just remember that everything is a lesson to be learned and an opportunity to grow!
2 Peter 3:18 KJV
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Bloom where you are planted and watch your life grow
