Amazing Grace

Lord you never cease to amaze me, your mercies are new every morning and that my soul knows very well.

As I celebrate 46 years in the Lord this month, I can remember very vividly the day I said a simple prayer of repentance asking Jesus to come into my heart. Right then and there, I knew I was delivered from every vice that had a grip on my life! My decision to serve the Lord would not come without obstacles and trials, but I knew it was what I needed to do. I had no forethought of what my life would look like, but only knowledge of the fact that I needed to be saved!

God in all his love and patience began working something beautiful in my life. I embarked on a journey and relationship with my heavenly Father that would unfold His perfect will for my life. Grace and mercy became my best friend because I needed a lot of it!

So many things have changed since those early days, but one thing that has always remained the same is God’s steadfast love for me. The Holy Spirit has been my comfort when I was down, my peace when in distress and joy in times of sorrow.

If I have learned anything in all these years of battle, it is to stay put and remain standing on the solid rock of Jesus. He has never failed me.

We are closer to Jesus' return than ever before! Don’t lose heart in these last days. Stay focused on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is not surprised by all that is taking place. In fact, it is part of His plan! He will be coming back soon for His bride.

The message that God placed in my heart is Matthew 25:5 KJV: “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.”

Now is not the time to be asleep! We must “Keep Awake! Watch…” 1 Peter 5:8a NLV.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 KJV.

Let’s preach the Word to reach the world!

For yet a little while; and he that shall come will come; and will not tarry. Hebrews 10:37 KJV.
