A Chapter of My Life
It has taken me a while to be able to sit down and put into words the devastation I feel in the loss of my lifelong love. It has been over a month now and I am still trying to process the fact that Art is gone. You can try and imagine what it will be like or how you will cope but you don’t really know until it becomes your reality!
His “Celebration of Life” service was so beautiful, I know he was blessed! So many came to show their respect. The Legacy of a Man that lived his life in service to God speaks volumes! Me and my family were truly blessed, thankful and overwhelmed by the love shown to us!
We just had our first “Thanksgiving” without him and because some family members were sick and unable to be with us, it seemed to compensate for the void. I went to visit his graveside the following day and it was very emotional, all I could do was cry! I’m sure I’ll have a lot of those days!
I’ve been told that “I’m a strong woman” and I try to be, but the void I feel and the memories that flood my thoughts sometimes tell me otherwise! This one thing I do know, if God had not been the center of my life, I don’t know how I would be able to handle both my Personal Life and the Ministry. God has truly been my rock and strong tower, and the prayers and awesome support from family and friends have played a big part in helping me to go forward.
I am trailblazing a new path now, but with much hope and expectation. God has revealed to me that this will be a new chapter in my life and that I am going to blossom! As women we wear many hats and spend our life sowing into those around us, but let me reassure you that God takes notice of everything!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven:
Jeremiah 29:11 CEB
I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.
God is a good, good Father and He will never let us down! I know that there are still many hurdles that I must overcome, but this is my confidence.
Philippians 4:13 AMP
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers as we go forward.
