A Sure Thing

A Sure Thing

Have you noticed lately how fast the world is moving? It’s constantly changing, with new fashion trends, new technology and new medical advancements. People are racing to keep up, but what we are really looking for is something safe, secure, solid, and a sure thing.

The Bible tells us; For I am the Lord, I change not. Malachi 3:6 KJV. God never changes!  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 KJV. These are promises that come from the Word of God –where we find a safe, secure, solid, and sure thing!

You see, while the world is constantly changing, updating and upgrading, God remains the same. His plan from the beginning never changes, it’s always been to have fellowship with you and me. God loves us. He wants us to have a good life and enjoy spending time with Him.

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV

God is about love, forgiveness, restoration, and purpose.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

As we celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ this month, let us reflect its meaning.

  • God’s love for you and me - Demonstrated by Jesus’ death upon a cross

  • God’s forgiveness - Whoever is willing to believe in Him is forgiven

  • God’s restoration - He restores us to a right relationship with Him

  • God’s purpose - That we will not experience Hell but live eternally with Him

There is so much more at stake than just trying to keep up with this fast-paced world; there is a much bigger picture…. It’s called eternal life.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 NKJV

Oh, I’m not saying it’s wrong to enjoy the things in this world, but what I am saying is we must not lose focus on what is safe, secure, solid, and a sure thing

We can spend our whole life seeking these things, but in reality, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 NKJV

If you already have a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then you have reason to celebrate!
